With many thanks to everyone who helped,
especially Sara White who found many of the links for small kids.
PS - Preschool
EM - Elementary School
JR - Junior High School
HS - High School
ALL - All Ages
But do not pay too much attention for which age is for which site
because many of them will be interesting no matter how old you are!
Going on the Internet is like having a huge library just for yourself. A long time ago the Great Library at Alexandria was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. That library in Egypt is gone (although there are plans to try to recreate it.), but the Internet really is the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Learn how to use the Internet by doing these things:
Follow links and see where they lead.
Always use the Advanced Search Page in Google. Fool around with the buttons etc. until you see how they change what you find.
Each time you look at a page, ask yourself if there is something new and interesting, or if someone is trying to sell you something.
Look at the site and ask yourself how you can know whether what it says is the truth.
And, most important...are you comfortable at the site?
Are you happy to show it to your parents?
Show them anyway...just for fun.
Show them this paragraph too!
Links listed on the Kids Links page will take you away from our web site to sites that are not under our control. Therefore, we are unable to make any representation whatsoever with regard to the content of any sites listed on this page. The fact that any site is listed here in no way implies our endorsement of such site.
